Your illness on the summit was, I’m sure, very difficult for you to cope with. After 7 days of hiking, and then in extreme cold and altitude, feeling as rotten as you did anyone could be forgiven for being a little crabby. However you always had a smile and a ‘thank you’ for us, which is a great sign of strength. And don’t worry: you didn’t choose the path of least resistance. Firstly, you had just summited the highest free-standing mountain in the world! Hardly a low-resistance path! Second, you didn’t have a choice but to accept our treatment (even though we may have let you think you did ;) ). I would rather spend a sleepless night treating you than spend a sleepless night worrying that you were crumbling away in your tent. I think you did very well :)
